Unconventional Ways You Can Save Money And Boost Your Income This Month

Saving money is ultimately mine and my wife’s goals each month. Saving money means that we spend only what is needed to then afford the stuff we want. I understand though, that reading this sounds much simpler than actually implementing it. However, often it is the simple changes to your ways or habits that can make the biggest of differences. I thought I would share with you some of the not so obvious ways you can start saving each month, and hopefully boost that disposable income.

Shop your kitchen

To tell you to meal plan to save money on your food shopping may sound really obvious, and so while you probably already do that I thought I would suggest something else. Shopping your kitchen instead of running to the shop for supplies could help you stretch your food spend much further. Looking in the cupboards or the fridge you are bound to find ingredients lurking that could create some awesome meals. Saving you that top up shop and more than likely spending and buying things you don’t need.

Deal with the debt

Debt can be a huge problem for some and take up a big chunk of your outgoings each month, so essentially if you can, it would be easier to have a form of payment plan and option to have it cleared for good. If you owe on several different accounts consolidating them into one loan and one payment saves you on interest as well as the amount you spend each month. However, if you have struggled with credit before, you could consider Bad Credit Loans by PaydayPixie but only if it is affordable. If a loan isn;t an option make it your mission to pay it off. Focus on the debt costing you the most first.

Switch providers for some of your bills

Some people think loyalty accounts for a lot, but actually it doesn’t necessarily mean you are getting the best deal on things like energy or insurance products. Try switching to another provider and see the saving you could be making.

Take advantage of online saving options

The internet is full of ways you can save money on everyday purchases. Cashback websites can give you discount codes or cashback on purchases, as well as making the most of vouchers that can save you on other things like meals out. Even your receipts can save you or make you money. Spending less means that you are saving more, and there is always essential spending that needs to be done, for example, your food shopping.

Set yourself a challenge

Finally, why not set yourself a little challenge. It could be to place all of your spare change in a tin each day or saving a certain amount each day or week. Or it could be other things like “no spend” weeks or months. There will be essential spending like milk and bread, etc, but challenging yourself to only spend when is absolutely necessary can end up saving you a pretty penny or two.

I hope that this has given you some inspiration for some of the ways you could save money and boost your income this month.
