Mystery shopping: Red WigWam Review

There are so many mystery shopping companies out there, that it is difficult to know where to start let alone use. As such I am giving everyone a review of one of the mystery shopping companies that I myself have used and am still using, in this case Red WigWam.

What is Red WigWam

Red WigWam is a mystery shopping company that, from my experience so far, focuses on mystery shopping and part-time jobs involving supermarkets.

Using Red WigWam

Using Red WigWam is incredably simple. All you need to do is sign up as a worker and fill in your profile to 100%, you won't be able to complete jobs without filling this section out. They will need information like your P45, commute time you are willing to do, payment details and a little bit more.

Once you have all finished then you can access and apply to do any of the available jobs that they currently have running within the area you specified within your profile. These jobs can vary from checking certain products insuring they have been put out correctly to handing out coupons for an hour to shoppers for a certain product.

Once you have found a job that you want to do then all you have to do is click on ‘view job details button' which will break down your pay for the job and how much time is needed or expected. Then just click ‘book'. Red WigWam will then email you to confirm that you have booked the job and will email you the details of the job and anything else that you will require.

Any jobs that you currently have active will appear within your ‘My jobs' section. Which can then easily be cancelled from there if you really need to cancel the job.

Finding jobs & Keeping in touch

One of the best things in my opinion of Red WigWam is the fact they will alert you the moment a job is available that falls within your stated travelling area. They will send you an email to the address you used when registering with them, within the email will be the job title and a link directly to the job. You know just in case you want to grab it ASAP!

This can be really convenient as you do not have to access their site all the time to see if they have any openings in your area. Just open up your emails, check and boom! Job can be yours.

You can search through manually though as well. Any matches to the skill sets and area you have stated will appear in your ‘job opportunities' section but you will also be shown on the dashboard the number of jobs that are a match with a link to the ‘job opportunities' section.

Getting paid

You have done the job so you want to know when and how you will get paid, right? That is simple as well.

You will need to fill in your ‘timesheet & report'. This can be done via the ‘My jobs' or ‘timesheet & report' sections, which will automatically show you the jobs you have accepted or completed over the last 30 days. Once there you need only find the job that you have completed and add the details that they require. For most of their jobs they will require you to upload photos of the location, aisles, products or receipts in which to confirm that you was present and that they can refund you any expenses, if the job required any. As such I find that filling out my timesheets is easiest done on my phone, I can even do them in the car as soon as I am done with the job.

Red WigWam will then need to confirm the information you have provided, which usually takes a day. Once confirmed they will pay you directly into the bank account you provided them within your profile. Your pay will be in your bank within 24 hours of confirmation.

As a bonus Red WigWam deals with all of the tax for you, meaning you need only take your pay and think on what to spend it on.

My opinion

In my opinion Red WigWam is a great company to do mystery shopping with.

  • It is easy to work and understand for anyone that is new to mystery shopping.
  • Has a great verity of jobs in which to sink your teeth into.
  • Has a good rate of pay for the jobs you do.

    Hi,
With RedWigWam, obviously they want all information they can about you.. most importantly, your bank card details & phone number.
    Is this safe?

I have being doing jobs on RedWigWam for several years now. There hasn’t been any issues with data safety with them that I have had personally or that I have heard about, it is similar to being placed on a regular company payroll information wise as well.
