How To have an Amazing Day Out in London

When you think of the UK, London is probably one of the first places you'll think of. It's full of history and offers an incredible amount of fun things to do and visit. Today's post will be telling you how you can have an amazing time during your next visit to London!

Travel

If you're new to London, the tube and the number of people can be intimidating at first! When planning your day out in London, plan your travel accordingly. Make sure you are aware of parking prices if you plan on driving or on which stops, trains and buses you'll be catching if you're heading into London via public transport. I'd recommend getting an Oyster card too if you'll be making use of the tube or London buses. Also, plan out the time between getting from various tube stations if you have a few areas you want to cover.

Food & Drink

London has every cuisine imaginable so whatever you fancy, they'll be something for you! There are so many places from rooftop bars to street food stalls. You can show up and see what places jump out at you or you can use a website to plan where you would like to eat. I'd recommend going for something new and exciting that you won't have experienced before since London has so much to offer. If you're an animal fan, they even have a few cat cafes!

Shopping

Whatever you're after, London will most definitely have it! Whether it's clothing, electronics, beauty products or sports products you will be able to find so many shops to have a browse in. You can browse through the beautiful areas of Oxford Street for high-end stores such as Harrods and Selfridges or you can visit more street areas such as Camden Lock if you want something alternative and unique. As everyone is aware, London is not the cheapest place to visit so if you're planning on shopping make sure it's worth your while and set aside a bit of money before your visit!

Shows

In my opinion, if you're going to make a trip to London it isn't complete without visiting a west end show. London has some of the best theatre productions both in the UK and even Europe so I'd highly recommend planning your trip in advance and booking tickets to your favourite musical. You have so many options from classic Disney shows such as the Lion King to Wicked or Kinky Boots. It truly makes your trip memorable and will leave you wanting to come back again and again!

Sites & Attractions

Along with shows, you'll most definitely want to get some sight-seeing done on your visit. Make sure you head over to Westminster, Buckingham Palace and even having a ride on the London Eye (If you have the patience to wait through all the queues!). A lot of attractions in London are free to visit as well such as the science musuem so you don't even have to break the bank if you don't want to!
